Ushuaia was settled by its native people for 1000's of years, then by Europeans in the late 1800s when explorers and others began arriving. There were several expeditions to Ushuaia, including those who were sea lion hunting and explorers, like Captain Fitz Roy, who discovered a channel now named after him. The southernmost city in the world often referred to as "The end of the world".
